The New Orleans Saints have stayed busy this offseason, but haven't made a blockbuster free agency move just yet.

However, this could change very quickly. Free agent Tyrann Mathieu recently visited the Saints' facility during a family visit in New Orleans.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport broke the news Tuesday morning. According to his tweet, this is the first facility that Mathieu visited as a free agent.

As Rapoport noted, this doesn't mean that the Saints have a done deal with the “Honey Badger.” However, the move wouldn't be completely shocking. The 29-year-old has a long history with the Big Easy. Mathieu was born and raised in New Orleans and attended Louisiana State University.

This also isn't the first time that rumors surrounding Mathieu and the Saints have come up. In March, Mathieu seemed very fond of the possibility. He commented two fire emojis on an Instagram post about him “possibly” signing with the Saints.

If all the rumors are true, this would be a huge deal for the Saints. Mathieu has become one of the top defensive backs in the league. He was a large reason for the Kansas City Chiefs' recent success and Super Bowl win.

Mathieu is easily one of the hottest free agents on the market, and it won't be long until he scores a massive contract. Fortunately for the Saints, it sounds like they could be the team he pens the deal with.
