San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan has never been one to mince words, and that trend continued on Friday when he was asked about Seattle Seahawks star wideout DK Metcalf.

While praising Metcalf and his elite WR skills, Shanahan admitted that he wishes DK didn't land with the Seahawks.

“You could see how big he was, how he ran, had the ability to do everything. In his offense a little bit, they didn’t, you know, he’s kind of stayed at one spot. He didn’t get to do as many routes as he’s doing now, so you couldn’t see all of that. He had some bad luck with some injuries, which I think made some people worried, but everyone sees now. He’s as good as there gets right now. He’s been healthy, plays hard and he’s got a big future. Wish he wasn’t in our division,” via Pro Football Talk.

The Seahawks and 49ers will play each other in Week 8. DK Metcalf and the Seahawks are coming off their first loss of the season to the Arizona Cardinals, while Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers have won two games in a row against the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots.

Metcalf, who is built like Superman basically, has caught 24 balls this season for 519 yards and five touchdowns. The Seahawks are so lucky DK fell to them in the 2019 draft. Metcalf was the 64th overall pick after playing his college ball at Ole Miss.

The Seahawks and 49ers always play each other tough since it's a divisional game. This Week 8 matchup should be highly competitive, with Metcalf in the middle of the action.
