On Friday morning, the Pittsburgh Steelers seemed to be nearing a trade to send wide receiver Antonio Brown to the Buffalo Bills, but the deal fell apart at the last minute because Brown did not want to go to the Bills.

Not long after the deal fell through, Seattle Seahawks wide out Doug Baldwin took to Twitter to express his support for Brown.

Well, here's the thing, Doug: the Steelers tried to “free” him, but Brown killed the trade.

Brown is coming off of a season in which he hauled in 104 receptions for 1,297 yards and a league-leading 15 touchdowns en route to his sixth straight Pro Bowl appearance, so his on-field production is not the issue.

It's the locker-room distractions that come with Brown that make him such a volatile commodity.

Brown's relationship with Pittsburgh has been strained for quite some time, but things reached a boiling point in the week leading up to the 2018 season finale, when Brown got into a heated argument with Ben Roethlisberger that apparently ended in Brown throwing a football at the quarterback.

The 30-year-old then refused to practice, complained of knee pain but refused to go for an MRI and then went AWOL on the team before being consequently benched by head coach Mike Tomlin for the Steelers' Week 17 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Brown was originally drafted by Pittsburgh back in 2010 and has been one of the top receivers in the game ever since, making seven trips to Honolulu and earning four straight First-Team All-Pro selections from 2014 through 2017.

While the Seahawks' star receiver may not be in the situation, he certainly feels for Brown.
