The Seattle Seahawks have been in the news the last few weeks because of the quarterback position, and now they are back in it again.

There have been rumors swirling about if Colin Kaepernick will get his chances with the Seahawks, and how they have might've postponed the workout because Kaepernick wouldn't agree to stand during the National Anthem.

Now GM John Schneider has said he has failed in the draft with drafting quarterbacks. When he was with the Green Bay Packers, he worked under Ted Thompson who wanted to draft a quarterback in every draft. When Schneider came to Seattle, he wanted to do the same thing but has only taken one quarterback since being named the general manager.

Of course, that was a home run pick getting Russell Wilson in the third round, and that has been a home run pick. But in the NFL a team is only one hit away on their quarterback from their season derailing, and Schneider wants to put a focus on backup quarterbacks through the draft.

“I don’t feel like we have — and me, personally — have done a good enough job of continuing to acquire quarterbacks all the way through,” Schneider told Gregg Bell of the Tamico News Tribune.

“I was in Green Bay when Aaron Rodgers fell,” Schneider said. “So we didn’t . . . I mean, Aaron Rodgers was supposed to be the first pick in the draft, and we weren’t necessarily as prepared as we should have been for him to fall. When you get to draft day, you want to make decisions like game-day decisions, right?

Now those comments don't sound like they are ready to find the new Aaron Rodgers, or Russell Wilson in the first round because they have their starting quarterback right now.

Don't be surprised though if the Seahawks take one or two quarterbacks in the later rounds as they look for a good backup.
