The Seattle Seahawks defense looks a lot different than years past. They've gotten rid of several veterans this offseason and replaced them with some young guys that are trying to prove that they can bring back the Seahawks defense to what it was just a few years ago.

K.J Wright, who is one of the remaining veterans from the glory years and now is a leader for this current group, thinks this defense still has a chance to be very good because they are hungry.

“Which is more dangerous, a fed lion or a lion who's hungry? This defense is hungry. There's so many guys that want to prove themselves, whether it's contracts, whether they want to prove they can be a starter in this league – so many guys are on a mission,” Wright said, according to Nate Davis of USA TODAY.

Wright went on to say that he doesn't think the hunger actually left but this new group is just going to bring in a different and new type of hunger.

Wright along with Bobby Wagner is the leader of this group and that is something that Wagner is really looking forward to.

“I remember when I first walked into the doors and guys like Kam were still considered the young guys – you watch them become the old guys. Now me and K.J. are the old guys,” said Wagner. “I think it's fun and an exciting challenge.”

If the Seahawks defense wants any chance at success this year Wagner and Wright are going to need to have some big years.
