The Seattle Seahawks are anxious to see what L.J. Collier looks like in their defense. After missing the entire preseason, Collier is set to make his NFL debut in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Seahawks selected Collier in the first round of this year's draft with one of the draft picks they received from the Kansas City Chiefs in the Frank Clark trade. The hope for Seattle is that Collier can become a viable replacement for Clark in their defense.

Collier totaled 14.5 sacks, 82 tackles, and 20.5 tackles for loss in his final three seasons at TCU. With those impressive numbers in mind, the Seahawks expect the rookie defensive end to be a key contributor to their pass rush in 2019.

Before the preseason began, Collier suffered an ankle sprain that prevented him from suiting up in any of the team's exhibition contests. The rookie pass-rusher has returned to practice this week and is in great shape, making Pete Carroll confident that he can play on Sunday.

Collier will be joining a talented defensive front that includes Jadeveon Clowney, Poona Ford, and Al Woods. Along with Collier, Seattle is longing for Ezekiel Ansah to make his debut with the team this Sunday.

Ansah is considered questionable for Week 2 after he missed Week 1 due to issues with his shoulder. Fortunately for the Seahawks, they can rotate Collier, Clowney, Quinton Jefferson, and Rasheem Green if Ansah can't go.

The Seahawks are going to need to force pressure on Ben Roethlisberger if they expect to defeat the Steelers.
