Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and his family have finally found a reason to celebrate in the middle of a crazy offseason. His wife, Ciara, recently gave birth to the newest member of the family, Win Harrison Wilson.

The 7-time Pro Bowler shared the news on his Twitter account:

A few days ago, Wilson and his fellow NFL players voiced their disappointment with the league concerning the looming return of football action. The players made #WeWantToPlay trend on social media to serve as a wake-up call for the league. He also cited his expectant wife as a reason why he demands to be able to play in a safe environment so he won't pass on the virus to his family.

The Super Bowl XLVIII champion is coming off a productive season, as he tallied 4,110 passing yards, 341 completions to go with 31 passing touchdowns last season. The Seattle Seahawks also kept themselves busy as they concluded with an 11-5 record last season to finish second in the NFC West race, trailing behind eventual Super Bowl finalist San Francisco 49ers.

However, their regular-season record didn't translate well into the playoffs as they eventually fell to the hands of the Green Bay Packers, 28-23, at Lambeau Field.

Russell Wilson can only hope that his newborn son can serve as an inspiration to him as he tries to wheel his team to a deeper playoff run in the upcoming season. Head coach Pete Carroll and the rest of the Seahawks will collide with the Atlanta Falcons on September 13 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
