Seattle Seahawks star quarterback Russell Wilson welcomed All-Pro safety Jamal Adams to the squad after the Seahawks acquired “Prez” from the New York Jets on Saturday.

Wilson did not have much to say, merely tagging Adams and saying “Let's get it!!!”

The Seahawks had to pay quite the price to nab Adams, sending the Jets a pair of first-round picks in addition to other draft considerations.

Seattle figures to begin working on an extension with its new star safety, who is looking to break the positional record for annual average value.

It seemed like the Seahawks might prioritize re-signing edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney, given their needs on the edge. However, head coach Pete Carroll will undoubtedly find a way to use Adams as a blitzer. Not to mention, Adams solidifies a secondary that constantly seems to be improving.

Meanwhile, Wilson is looking to improve on a 2019 campaign in which he made a pretty serious push for MVP consideration.

The 31-year-old completed over 66 percent of his passes for 4,110 yards, throwing for 31 touchdowns against just five interceptions. Wilson also showed a flair for the dramatic.

Seattle went 11-5 last year despite having just a +7 point differential. Why? Well, mostly because Wilson somehow found a way to bail the team out time and again.

Wilson led the NFL in fourth-quarter comebacks (four) and also topped all quarterbacks with five game-winning drives.

It remains to be seen whether the Seahawks' star signal-caller can continue to play the hero role. But Wilson is glad to have a star like Adams on the other side of the ball.
