Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson will be back for Week 10's showdown against the Green Bay Packers. The Seahawks quarterback released a hype video for his return on Monday, and now the doctor who performed the surgery on his injured finger has come out with a statement on the matter.

Dr. Steve Shin praised Wilson and confirmed that he's cleared to return against the Packers:

Wilson suffered his finger injury in Week 5 action against the Los Angeles Rams. Now that he's set to return already, he'll only have missed three games thanks to a Week 9 bye.

Seattle went 1-2 with Geno Smith under center in place of Wilson. The two losses were quite ugly, but Week 8 featured a dominant 31-7 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Seahawks are just 3-5 on the season, which is well behind the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams atop the NFC West. However, there's plenty of time left to make a run for a Wild Card spot. Only six teams in the NFC have a winning record, so Seattle is right there in the mix despite the 3-5 record.

With Wilson set to come back against the Packers, attention will turn to Aaron Rodgers to see if he'll be back from his bout with COVID-19. A Wilson-Rodgers showdown would certainly be a good way to welcome these two star quarterbacks back into the fold.
