Like many Denver Nuggets fans who watched the team's Game 4 matchup against the Phoenix Suns Sunday night, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was also left stunned over the ejection of  2021 NBA MVP Nikola Jokic in the third quarter. Here's Wilson's Twitter reaction to that surprising development.

There were a number of things that could have gone wrong for Denver in Game 4 and none of them would have had the same gravity as that of their best player getting thrown out from the playing court. Jokic got called a flagrant 2 foul after a hard foul on Suns guard Cameron Payne. There was a skirmish that followed, with Devin Booker confronting the gigantic Serbian.

Twitter then exploded with reactions, with Russell Wilson joining the legion of angry fans, who were as confused as he was over Jokic's ejection.

The Nuggets were already having a tough time solving the Suns in Game 4, which is basically the story of the entire series, and not having Jokic on the floor instantly deflated Denver. In lieu of Jokic, the Nuggets called on JaVale McGee to cover the void. It was just a very unfortunate thing to happen to a team like the Nuggets, who got swept in four games by Phoenix.

As for Wilson and the Seahawks, they sure know a thing or two about being part of a controversial play on national television.
