Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin did not practice on Thursday after landing on the injury report to a hip issue. Baldwin had been dealing with injury issues throughout the season, as he was forced to sit out two games with a knee injury earlier in the year. But there are still unknowns about the severity of this new injury for the veteran wide receiver, according to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.

Baldwin has secured 37 receptions for 388 yards and two touchdowns this season while once again serving as one of the Russell Wilson's top receivers in an efficient Seattle offense. Wilson has targeted Baldwin at least four times in each of the past four games, which included the receiver grabbing seven of 10 targets for 52 yards and a touchdown in the mid-November victory over the Green Bay Packers.

While the Seahawks are clearly focused on running the ball on a regular basis, the passing game has been effective in guiding Seattle to a 7-5 record this season. Baldwin and company have won three straight games and have found a ton of momentum after struggling to a 2-3 start out of the gate. While the NFC West title is no longer in reach due to the impressive season from the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle finds itself in a good spot when it comes to trying to secure a playoff spot.

The Seahawks will return to the field next Monday night when it hosts the Minnesota Vikings, who are also trying to make a run to the playoffs.
