Dumas is coming off his second defeat inside the Octagon his last time out meanwhile, Tiuliulin has now lost three in a row as he looks to get back on track in Abu Dhabi this weekend. Sedriques Dumas (9-2) secured his contract in the UFC with a 47-second guillotine choke of standout kickboxer Matej Penaz however, he is now just 2-2 during his time in the UFC. Most recently he was finished by Nursulton Ruziboev in the first round via TKO. Dumas will be looking to get that one back when he takes on Denis Tiuliun this weekend in Abu Dhabi.
Denis Tiuliulin (11-9) has been having a rough go during his time in the UFC. After splitting his first two fights in the promotion, he has now lost three straight fights. With his back against the wall, Tiuliulin will be eager to get back on the winning track when he faces off against Sedriques Dumas this weekend.

Why Sedriques Dumas Will Win
Sedriques Dumas came into his UFC career with some hype behind him after his slick submission victory over Matej Penaz in his Contender Series fight back in 2022. However, he hasn’t panned out as well as those may have hoped as he has now lost two out of his four fights with the promotion most recently getting finished by Nursulton Ruziboev in his last fight. Dumas gets his chance to get back on track when he takes on Denis Tiuliulin this weekend in Abu Dhabi.
Dumas is tall and long and will have some size on Tiuliulin in this fight where he should use that to his advantage at range. Dumas likes to utilize his leg kicks and jab at range to keep his opponents from just pressing the action and coming forward. The way that Tiuliulin comes forward with reckless abandonment, Dumas will have no issue landing his strikes at range. However, standing and banging with Tiuliulin will give him his only chance of winning this fight, Dumas’ biggest advantage relies on his grappling. If Dumas can avoid getting into a slugfest with Tiuliulin on the feet and get his grappling game going we can potentially see another submission on his resume.
Why Denis Tiuliulin Will Win
Denis Tiuliulin had the daunting task of facing off against Aliaskhab Khrizriev in his UFC debut where he succumbed to a rear-naked choke in round two. Tiuliulin was able to get his first and only win in his UFC career when he knocked out Jamie Pickett at UFC 279. Unfortunately, Tiuliulin hasn’t tasted victory since as he’s now lost three in a row and is on the verge of having his UFC career cut short. He will need to make a statement this weekend when he takes on Sedriques Dumas in Abu Dhabi.
Denis Tiuliulin is a heavy-hitting middleweight who’s looking to land heavy strikes to get his opposition out of there before the final bell. Of his 11 victories, 9 of them have come by knockout showcasing that he’s always looking for that knockout blow when he steps foot inside the Octagon. Luckily enough for Tiuliulin, while Dumas has a decent ground game his area of expertise is not in grappling. This gives Tiuliulin the ability to fight his fight on the feet in hopes of getting Dumas out of there to get back on track and keep his UFC career alive.

This should be a banger of a fight to kick off this stacked fight night event in Abu Dhabi. Both fighters are desperately in need of a victory this weekend which should make this fight a very exciting one. Ultimately, Dumas is the more well-rounded fighter and while it is a dangerous proposition to keep this fight standing with Tiuliulin he should be able to be competitive there until he takes the fight to the mat and gets the submission victory and back to the win column as he looks to move up the middleweight rankings.
