It seems the O'Neal's have caught the loudmouth bug present in the LaVar Ball clan recently. Shaquille O'Neal's son Shareef O'Neal recently took to Twitter to voice his opinion on how his father would fare in today's NBA. His sentiments are bold, but with only 140 characters to work with, Shareef simply had to be direct.

This is a very bold claim considering how dominant today's NBA players are. When you have the likes of LeBron James averaging a triple double in the NBA Finals to Russell Westbrook averaging the like across the regular season, it's compelling to consider if Shaq would have had the same impact he did during his prime. After all, Shaq was a monster in the paint, but today's NBA seems to value long range snipers like Stephen Curry, so stripping the four-time NBA champion of the opportunity to tear down opponents defensively could hinder his overall production on the court.

However, Shaq was a powerhouse himself, earning accolade upon accolade throughout his dominant career. He had averages of 23.7 ppg, 10.9 rpg, and 2.3 bpg, numbers only a few certain elites have been able to emulate across a 19 year career.

No matter where you land on the topic, I'm sure we can all agree that we would all love to see Shaq back in his prime playing with today's talent. Maybe that's why NBA 2K18 added that new game All-Time Teams feature.
