Philadelphia 76ers center Andre Drummond broke Charles Barkley's rebound record for the most rebounds in a game by a 76ers player.

Whenever your team can get this type of production from a backup center, the organization is going to be happy.

Drummond had an insane game against the New York Knicks. He was able to secure 25 rebounds. Drummond broke the season-high record as he surpassed Joel Embiid who had 18 rebounds. Drummond now has 85 career games with 20-plus rebounds. That is good for 15th all-time in NBA history. Drummond also has the most double-doubles since the start of the 2012-13 NBA season. He also has more than 30 of the most double-doubles that include 20 rebounds since that season, too.

Drummond was a sneaky pick up for the 76ers in the offseason. He's going to have to play some valuable minutes throughout the regular season as Joel Embiid is someone who likes to be load-managed a lot. Embiid also has some history with injuries, so it made sense that the 76ers went out and got a serviceable backup center.

Not only did Drummond come away with 25 rebounds, but he was also able to add 14 points for the 76ers.

Philadelphia lost to the New York Knicks. It's not a bad loss for this team as they hardly lost and they were without Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, and Ben Simmons. Philadelphia made a great decision to bring in Drummond. They're going to hope that he will continue this play throughout the season.
