He's just 20 years of age (happy birthday), but Philadelphia 76ers guard Ben Simmons is already making a name for himself in the NBA. In fact, the former LSU stand-out earned Rookie of the Year honors for his outstanding play last season, though the race was close. Without a doubt, he'll be looking for continued progression.

Simmons is obviously one of the up-and-coming players in the league, but it looks like he'll be quite good in virtual form as well.

Over the past few days, 2K's social media team has been revealing the overall ratings of various players who will appear in their upcoming release of NBA 2K19. Though there is some debate about his jump-shot, Simmons was given an 87, which seems to have motivated him a bit.

Simmons made 81 appearances with the Sixers last season (81 starts), averaging 15.8 points on 54.5 percent shooting from the field, 8.2 assists, 8.1 rebounds, 1.7 steals and just under one block (0.9) in 33.7 minutes per outing. Just for the record, LeBron James and Russell Westbrook are the only other players in the league who averaged at least 15 points, eight rebounds and eight assists last season.

2K19 will be the 20th installment from the fine designers at 2K Sports. Its release date is set for September 11, and Simmons is featured on the cover of the Australian edition.

“It’s a huge honor to be recognized on the first-ever Australian cover for NBA 2K and represent the 76ers,” Simmons recently told Basketball Australia. “The Aussie fans are super passionate about basketball and specifically NBA 2K, so it's very cool to be an ambassador for both.”

All things considered, an 87 overall rating is not bad for Simmons, but it sounds like he'd like to take that number up a few notches. Let's see what next season holds for the Australian star.
