Brett Brown and the Philadelphia 76ers had no answers once again for the Boston Celtics, as they suffered an ugly loss in Game 2 of their first round playoff match-up.

The third-seeded Celtics put on a shooting clinic and blew out the Sixers with a 128-101 rout. It was the sort of night when the Cs just couldn't miss, and Brown couldn't do anything but tip his hat to his opponents.

“I think it got deflating when their shot-makers went bananas. I’m not going to scold their effort. I think you have to shake the hands of the Celtics,” Brett Brown said, per Ben Golliver of Washington Post.

Although Brown admitted that there were a few plays in the second half that could have changed the Sixers' fate in Game 2, he was satisfied with his team's overall effort.

It has been a struggle for Brown and his Sixers to come up with a more defensive lineup to match the fiery guards of Boston, especially since their best perimeter defender, Ben Simmons, has already been ruled out of the season.

Brown also mentioned post-game that he was satisfied with his team's defense, noting that it was just the fact that Boston made a lot of buckets. Jayson Tatum again led the Celtics' charge and scored 33 points (on 8-of-12 shooting from three) to outdo his 32-point Game 1 performance.

“I thought the guys were doing the best that they could,” the Sixers coach added. “Tatum is a handful. Kemba got it going. Jaylen I thought had a great game. They made shots and we had a hard time dealing with that.”

Game 3 of this best-of-seven series tips off Friday.
