Bryan Colangelo is trying to prove his innocence after a report by The Ringer saying the Philadelphia 76ers GM had five burner accounts and was using it for, among other things, bashing some current Sixers players.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Colangelo has been reaching out to players that were called out by these Twitter accounts to deny the allegations that he did it.
76ers president Bryan Colangelo has been actively reaching out to individuals mentioned in those burner accounts, insisting that he isn't responsible for those tweets, league sources tell ESPN. Sixers probe is underway in aftermath of The Ringer story.

One of those guys is Joel Embiid, and right after the report, he made a joke to one of the burner accounts saying that Sam Hinkie is better than Colangelo.
Joel told me that @samhinkie IS BETTER AND SMARTER THAN YOU @AlVic40117560 #BurnerAccount

He sent a few more tweets and said that all jokes aside he doesn't believe the story, because that would just be too insane.
Fun night on Twitter lmao.. All jokes asides I don’t believe the story. That would just be insane

It will be interesting if Embiid changes his tune if it does come out that the story is true, but if it does end up that Colangelo did send out those tweets, he said some terrible things about Embiid, and their relationship will probably be ruined forever.
After Embiid danced shirtless at a Meek Mill concert:
“Too bad that Embiid danced like a fool and the whole disaster happened, next time he will think twice before mocking his team,” Eric jr wrote on February 14, 2017. The account reacted with ire in another post. “If I were mngt I would step on a ladder and kick his b#**,” they wrote. (Nine months later, the Enoughunkownsources account employed similar phrasing: “If I had a medium size ladder I would love to knock some sense in Joel’s head right now,” the account wrote in November. “He is playing like a toddler having tantrums.”)
This is still a developing story, but for now, it appears that Embiid is sticking with his GM.
