The question on the minds of many ever since Daryl Morey was hired as the new president for the Philadelphia 76ers is whether he will look to shake things up with a big trade, or several.

Morey was asked about that possibility during his introductory press conference on Monday. The Sixers' new president stressed patience and said he wants to learn more about this roster before doing anything too crazy:

Speculation has been running rampant about the possibility of Morey making moves to try to enhance the Sixers this offseason. Philadelphia is coming off a disappointing season, with an ill-fitting roster a big problem. Big contracts to Al Horford and Tobias Harris have thus far backfired.

Morey comes to Philly from the Houston Rockets, where he was the general manager for the Rockets for 12 years. Because of Morey's longtime relationship with James Harden, some have speculated that he'll look to trade for the Rockets superstar. Houston reportedly doesn't have interest in trading Harden, but perhaps that would change if Joel Embiid or Ben Simmons were actually on the table.

Morey did speak highly of Embiid and the pairing with Simmons on Monday. While Morey says right now that no trades are expected at the moment, rumors will continue to run rampant. Even if it's not a blockbuster Harden trade, one has to imagine Morey has plans to shake up the roster in some fashion after this last season's disappointment, which featured a sweep in the first round of the playoffs against the Boston Celtics.

An Al Horford trade makes the most sense, but we'll see what Morey has in store for this group in the coming weeks.
