After a few games away from home, the Philadelphia 76ers are back and will play the Chicago Bulls. Both teams have been very successful recently and will both be seeking a big win to improve their standing in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. But prior to the 7:00 P.M. EST tip-off, there is an important question lingering for the Sixers: Is James Harden playing tonight vs. the Bulls?

James Harden injury status for Sixers vs. Bulls

After missing the Sixers' previous game against the Indiana Pacers for injury management, Harden is not listed on the NBA injury report. The win over the Pacers came on the second night of a back-to-back, so it can be reasonably assumed that Philly wanted to preserve star guard's legs down the stretch of the regular season.

While rumors swirl about a potential return to the Houston Rockets, Harden is playing great basketball for the Sixers who are up to the second seed in the East. He is averaging 21.7 points, an NBA-best 10.8 assists, 6.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 44.6 percent from the field a career-best 39.0 percent from deep.

The Sixers will honor their 1982-83 championship team as they face the Bulls and go for their ninth consecutive win at Wells Fargo Center. P.J. Tucker is listed as questionable after missing last game. Lonzo Ball remains out for Chicago while Javonte Green and Alex Caruso are listed as questionable.

So when it comes to the important question of if James Harden is playing tonight vs. the Bulls, the answer is almost certainly yes.
