The Philadelphia 76ers are going through growing pains and have three of their last five games. They are still in a great position at third in the Eastern Conference with a record of 41-26.

However, star Joel Embiid might be unavailable for their upcoming game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He performed against fellow MVP candidate Nikola Jokić but suffered a hard fall in the Sixers' Monday night loss to the Denver Nuggets. Is Embiid playing Wednesday night?

Is Joel Embiid playing vs. Cavs

Embiid was a late addition to the Sixers' injury report Wednesday afternoon. He was at the Sixers' shootaround earlier in the day with a wrap around his lower back. Although the big man is listed as questionable, Doc Rivers said that he expects all of his guys to play Wednesday night, Embiid included.

Sixers beat reporter Gina Mizell tweeted the news Wednesday afternoon.

The 7-foot center has started in the Sixers' last 17 games. He hasn't sat out since Philadelphia's late-January overtime win over the Memphis Grizzlies. As noted by Sixers reporter Kyle Neubeck, this game wouldn't be the worst time for Embiid to take a break.

The Sixers have a lot of big games ahead of them, so Embiid will have to be as healthy as possible to secure their best spot in the playoffs. They take on the top Eastern Conference team in the Miami Heat on Monday and the second-place Milwaukee Bucks later in the month.
