James Harden has unquestionably transformed the Philadelphia 76ers into a much, much bigger force to reckon with not only in the Eastern Conference but in the entire league. The Sixers are yet to lose since he started taking the court for the Sixers, and his excellence on the court is clearly rubbing on his teammates. Even off of it, Harden seems to find a way to get his fellow Sixers going, like Tyrese Maxey, whose presence was barely felt in the first half of Wednesday night's game against the New York Knicks on the road.

The Sixers entered the half trailing New York by seven points and with Maxey scoring just four points on 2/5 shooting from the field. But Harden knew exactly how to light a fire under Maxey.

Harden was making an impact in the locker room too, with Tyrese Maxey revealing words of wisdom that sparked his 21-point second half.

“James Harden asked me at halftime if I was going to play tonight,” Maxey said.

Maxey would indeed come alive in the final 24 minutes of the contest, during which he exploded for 21 points on 5/7 shooting. Joel Embiid also joined the comeback party for the Sixers, mustering 21 of his team-high 27 points in the second half.

The Sixers will look to prolong their undefeated streak when they square off with the Cleveland Cavaliers at home this Friday.
