Superstar guard Jimmy Butler sounded like he is ready to call Philadelphia his home despite the uncertainty surrounding his future with the team.
There were questions about how Butler will fit into the Philadelphia 76ers because of his strong personality. There were doubts about his willingness to step aside in favor of resident Sixers stars Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. However, in a recent interview, the 29-year-old forward believes that he is in a great place right know.
Butler told Michael Lee of The Athletic that he feels great in Philadelphia, especially because of the fact that they are heading and expected to go deep into the playoffs this season. Philadelphia currently holds a 49-27 record and is expected to get home-court advantage in the first round.

I just want the group of guys that we have to know that I’m here, man. I’m here to battle and I’m here to fight, no matter what. That’s what they got me in Philly for.”
Jimmy Butler assured his teammates that he is ready to give it all and battle with them. He pointed out that his all-out mindset was one of the main reasons why the Sixers made a gamble on him earlier in the season.
Butler has been hitting expectations so far. Despite playing alongside fellow superstars in Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris, he is still averaging decent numbers. In 53 games for the Sixers, he posted 18.5 points on 46.1 percent shooting to go along with 5.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.
The four-time All-Star is playing in the fourth year of his five-year contract worth $92.34 million. He could become a free agent after this season if he decides to opt out of the final year of his contract with the 76ers.
