Philadelphia 76ers guard Jimmy Butler seems to be of the belief that throwing elbows is a regular part of Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin's game after the two got into an exchange on Friday night. The Sixers came away with a 117-11 victory in Detroit, but the most compelling takeaway from the game was the spat between Butler and Griffin.

After taking a charge on Blake Griffin, Jimmy Butler came back up the court with some choice words, and that led to the two players being separated by teammates.

Of course, things didn't stop there, as the Pistons forward came back shortly after and softly connected on an elbow to Butler's face.

But the Sixers star isn't too concerned with the scuffle based on what he had to say when he was asked about it after the game:

“He was trying to be tough – throwing elbows and all that good stuff. But I'm not worried him. That's what he does.”

Jimmy Butler came away with the performance of the night in posting 38 points in 39 minutes, while Blake Griffin had his own impressive evening in going for 31 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists.

However, something tells me that these two won't be exchanging Christmas cards anytime soon after the way that the whole situation played out during the game.

But should Butler and Griffin reconcile and become best friends before the holidays, they'll get a chance to talk all about the incident as the Pistons and Sixers face off for a second-straight time on Monday in Philadelphia.
