Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid never lets a good joke go to waste even if it's him in the middle of the actual joke. Embiid recently mocked himself after an old video of him resurfaced where he completely bombed a fastbreak play back in his junior varsity days at the Montverde Academy.
Embiid, who's always a good sport when it comes to these sorts of things, had no choice but to laugh at himself for that crazy play way back in 2012 that's worthy of any Shaqtin' A Fool list.
Here's the play (via Overtime) and Embiid's hilarious reaction on Twitter:
LMAO!! First year playing ball 10 years ago.. No wonder they had me playing on the JV squad. KG said it âAnything is possibleâ ha https://t.co/DdsC7xrKHK

To be fair, this was Embiid's first year of playing the sport and it clearly showed seeing how clueless he was on what to do being all alone in front of the basket. As Overtime puts it, the 27-year-old Cameroonian going from that play to signing a supermax extension with the Sixers worth $196 is just unimaginable.
Embiid, who was born and raised in Yaounde, Cameroon had no plans on playing basketball until he discovered the sport at age 15. He initially played a ton of soccer and volleyball growing up which probably explains why he's fast on his feet and why he has a knack for swatting the ball.
After being discovered at a basketball camp by fellow Cameroonian and former member of the Sixers Luc Mbah a Moute, Embiid moved to the US at age 16 where he played for both the Montverde Academy and The Rock School before eventually committing to Kansas Jayhawks program.
It's safe to say that Embiid has come a long way.
