Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers utterly dominated in Game 3 of his team’s series against the Toronto Raptors. After a tough, stomach bug-addled performance in Game 2 of the series, Embiid bounced back in a big way in Game 3 by producing a stat line that had not been since Kevin McHale in 1990.

That’s right Embiid dictated the pace of this game from the start and ended with an all-around masterclass of 33 points, 10 rebounds, 5 blocks and 3 assists in only a paltry 28 minutes played with a light sprinkling of windmill dunks to boot.

That level of per-minute production is almost obscene, but the Sixers needed every minute of it as they put their foot on the throats of their foe in this one. Embiid was also a +31 in on/off rating – showing that everything he was doing was leading to his teammates locking down on defense or producing efficient offense on the other end.

Embiid is the clear leader and best player of this Philly team, and his teammates responded with strong games all around. This was really only an eight-man rotation for 76ers coach Brett Brown, with the only players seeing more than 10 minutes off the bench were James Ennis, Mike Scott and Greg Monroe.

However, when Embiid plays like this, there is very little any team can do to stop the Sixers – he’s just that impactful.
