Philadelphia 76ers Joel Embiid already has some experience living in NBA hiatus. Before the league suspended games for 30 days due to the outbreak and spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), the three-time Sixers All-Star had been sidelined with a left shoulder injury.

Embiid re-appeared after two weeks after with a 30-point game back on Wednesday, March 11th. The next day, however, was when the NBA announced suspending operations for a month.

As other players put down a basketball and pick up a controller to start playing more video games during the hiatus, Embiid shared he's already much acquainted with gaming while out. The Cameroonian born center shared on Twitter on Friday evening his affection for soccer game FIFA 21.

“[Career mode] is all I play,” Embiid wrote on Twitter on Friday. “For the last 2 months, y'all had me thinking that I'm not that good anymore when in fact the new ULTIMATE DIFFICULTY is a little EXAGGERATED … .”

While the Sixers' struggles during the 2019-20 season have been publicized aplenty and criticism of the Embiid's fit with Ben Simmons heightened, JoJo appears to be in a bubble — unaware of the building skepticism of Philly's competitiveness while he masters Electronic Arts' FIFA 21.

“Career mode is basically my life and it has so [much] potential, so many ideas to make it fun,” the Sixers big man continued on his official social-media page. “It's been a while since we made adjustments so let's do it BUT FIRST can we fix the problems now?”, Embiid added, also tagging the gaming studio EA and its support page.

Suffice to say Joel Embiid is more than prepared to hunker down and play video games while the NBA is suspended.
