Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid earned his way to the fourth straight All-Star selection of his young career. The Cameroonian big man took to Twitter to show his appreciation for being selected as one of the starters for his year's All-Star Game.

The 2020-21 NBA season has already seen Embiid solidify his case as one of the league's best big men today. With the help of recently hired head coach Doc Rivers, the 26-year-old center was able to showcase his abilities on the floor which made him an early favorite to be named as this season's Most Valuable Player. The Sixers big has a legitimate case against the likes of LeBron James and Nikola Jokic.

Embiid is currently averaging 30.5 points on 54.7% shooting from the field along with 11.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 24 appearances. His solid play as of late also debunked the speculations that he can't co-exist with his running mate in Ben Simmons. Similar to Embiid, the Australian native is also having a stellar campaign where he has emerged as one of the frontrunners for this year's Defensive Player of the Year award.

The two stars' increased production definitely helped the team's cause as they were able to lead the Sixers to a 20-10 record for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. Though being named to an All-Star appearance definitely serves as a significant achievement, Joel Embiid would be happier to finally power his team to the promised land after several failed postseason runs.

With a better team dynamic under Doc Rivers, the Sixers are hoping that they can ultimately end their longstanding championship drought and win their first title since 1983.
