James Harden made his much-awaited home debut for the Sixers on Wednesday and as expected, there were fireworks. Harden wowed the adoring home crowd with an eye-popping 26-point performance that absolutely lived up to the expectations.

Even Sixers superstar teammate Joel Embiid was impressed by Harden's first game in Philadelphia. When asked to share his thoughts on Harden's strong play and how he's looked alongside his new teammates, Embiid had a simple five-word response:

“We all just fit together,” Embiid said after the win, via ESPN.

I cannot agree more — at least from what we've seen from the Sixers thus far. For his part, Embiid dropped a 27-point, 12-rebound double-double against the Knicks. Tyrese Maxey also stepped up big time, scoring 25 points on 7-of-12 shooting. That's pretty much been the case for Philly in Harden's first three games for the squad.

Embiid had a special shoutout for the Sixers fans in attendance during Wednesday's home game. The warm welcome they gave Harden is definitely something Embiid appreciates:

“It felt like a playoff atmosphere,” Embiid said. ”I’ve given a lot of credit to Philly fans over the years and they’ve always come through, win or lose.”

As a duo, Embiid and Harden are looking unstoppable right now. No wonder Sixers fans are extremely excited about their team right now. If they keep this up, then there's no doubt that this team will be there battling for the Eastern Conference title in the end.
