In a playoff atmosphere, players are willing to do everything necessary to have the advantage over their foes. For Justice Winslow of the Miami Heat, this means stepping on the mask of Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid, which serves to protect his injured face. Everyone noticed Winslow's antics. After the game, the Sixers star commented on it.

As reported by Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald, Embiid said:

“As far as the mask, Justise stepped on it and tried to break with his hands. But little did he know we have about 50 of them. It's going to take much more than that to get me out of these series. I'm going to be a nightmare for them too.”

Below is a clip of Winslow stepping on, and apparently trying to break Embiid's protective mask.

To recall, Embiid suffered an orbital bone fracture after inadvertently bumping with his teammate in March. It forced him out of action for quite some time. Game 3 against the Heat was his playoff debut.

Prior to Game 2, Winslow confessed that he likes being the bad guy:

“I can be the bad guy if that means winning. I love it. Growing up I played on all types of teams that would just press and defend and run around with our heads chopped off. But this is more organized obviously in the NBA. It's fun sometimes when you get to go back to that and just go out there and make plays defensively. It’s kind of in my nature.”
