Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers is not shy at all about trolling opposing players as well as his own teammates via social media or in post-game press conferences. Now, his trolling has reached peak “meta” levels, as his recent change to his profile picture on Twitter entails, per Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints:

As you can see, the Sixers big man has switched his profile picture to two side-by-side images of his extremely contorted face after losing Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals to the Toronto Raptors in heartbreaking fashion due to a Kawhi Leonard wackadoo buzzer beater.

Though many “fans” and detractors came out of the woodwork to insult the incredibly emotional moment, there is no question that Embiid deserves nothing but praise for his heart, grit and extreme emotional investment in his team and the city they represent.

Embiid changing his profile picture to commemorate this moment will likely serve as a reminder as well as a motivator going into next season. It will remind him that being emotional is what makes him special and entertaining, and it will also remind him of the terrible pain that the Sixers losing against the Raptors Game 7 did to him.

With that profile picture serving as an amusing reminder of terrible time while simultaneously spurring Embiid on to greater heights in future seasons, the rest of the NBA better watch out.
