The Philadelphia 76ers appear to be making moves to bolster their roster in an attempt to make the postseason this year. After the NBA trade deadline, the Sixers were relatively quiet, and made no significant deals. However, they pursued some free agents in the buyout market and picked up Marco Belinelli, a talented 3-point shooter and 2014 NBA Champion.

The Sixers don't appear to be done yet. According to Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype, the Sixers plan on signing Ersan Ilyasova, while waiving Trevor Booker to make some room for the addition.

If the Sixers sign Ersan Ilyasova (as has been reported), sources say that Philadelphia may waive Trevor Booker. Plenty of NBA teams, especially contenders, are monitoring that situation. If waived, Booker would receive plenty of interest as a free agent.

On Monday, the Hawks waived Ilyasova so that he might pursue a team that interests him. Before Ilyasova joined the Hawks, he was actually a member of the Sixers, where he scored 14.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1 steal per game. He even shot a solid 35 percent from deep and is an ideal shooting power forward that give the Sixers some depth on their bench.

While this move won't necessarily make the Sixers a contender, it shows that the organization is dedicated towards rebuilding for a NBA title. That begins first with establishing an identity, a winning culture, and gaining talent. Unfortunately, this addition may come at the expense of Trevor Booker, but the Sixers figure that this move will give them their best chance of competing move forward. Therefore, it's a move that they will have to take.
