Tyrese Maxey balled out on Wednesday night as the Sixers fell to the Miami Heat in Game 2 of their second-round matchup, 119-103. The Sixers were still missing Joel Embiid in this one and somebody had to step up, so Maxey made sure his team wouldn't go down without a fight.

The Sixers guard dropped 32 points in Game 2 on 12-of-22 shooting. That's now his second 30-point game of the playoffs following his 38-point eruption in Game 1 against the Toronto Raptors in the opening round. Maxey has now set a Sixers franchise record not even the great Allen Iverson achieved (h/t Basketball Reference on Twitter):

Perhaps the most amazing fact about this record is how Maxey is just 22. The future is definitely bright for this young man and there's no denying that the Sixers have an absolute gem in their 6-foot-2 combo guard.

Unfortunately for Maxey and the Sixers, they are now in a deep 0-2 hole against the mighty Heat. The good news for them is that they could get Embiid back for Game 3 in Philadelphia. Without their superstar big man, however, the odds are not looking very good for this team.
