The Philadelphia 76ers have found themselves in a dog fight with the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinals showdown Monday night. Although the Sixers are the lower-seeded team, they were installed as the favorites to win this series with Boston dealing with injuries to some of their key players and also because of the terrific play of the Sixers in these playoffs, Ben Simmons in particular.

Speaking of Simmons’ outstanding performance in his first career trip to the postseason, here’s a video of the extremely talented point guard using his size and speed to blow by Celtics big man Al Horford before rising up for a sweet-looking and thunderous reverse throwdown.

That's just sick, Ben.

There is more to Simmons in the playoffs than just dunking, however. In five games against the Miami Heat in the first round, Simmons showed his polished all-around game by finishing the series with averages of 18.2 points, 10.6 rebounds, 9.0 assists, and 2.4 steals per game.

The 21-year-old Ben Simmons, who is also the top candidate to win Rookie of the Year honors, is a matchup problem for Boston, which does not have a guard with the physical tools to match up with the former LSU Tigers star.
