Paris Saint-Germain splashed out a fortune this summer in transfer fees, but despite their massive overhaul of the roster, things haven't gone to plan in the French capital thus far. Reports emerged recently suggesting midfielder Gini Wijnaldum could be seeking a move away from the club to return to the Premier League, despite just having joined PSG this summer. And it seems he's not the only one eager to depart.
According to El Nacional, star defender Achraf Hakimi is keen on returning to Real Madrid despite just having made the move to Paris via Inter Milan on a $66,000,000 transfer over the summer.

Hakimi was one of the marquee additions made to the PSG roster this transfer window, joining fellow newcomers in Wijnaldum, Lionel Messi, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos, and Nuno Mendes. Despite the influx of top-level talent, things haven't cliqued for the team, and now it looks as if some players want out.
Hakimi came up through the ranks with Real Madrid, before being loaned to Borussia Dortmund in 2018. Los Blancos then sold the right fullback to Inter Milan for a fee of $59.4 million. He helped the Italian side win the Serie A in 2020-21, before once again departing for a new challenge, this time in Paris.
Despite only just having arrived, it seems Hakimi is eager to return to Madrid and get a chance in the first team, something he was never given during his earlier spell at the club. While it's unlikely Paris will be willing to let their star defender leave so quickly after arrival, it's worth monitoring the Spanish side's interest ahead of the January transfer window.
