The San Antonio Spurs have been mired into the cloud that is Kawhi Leonard's stance toward his decision to remain with the team. Teammate Danny Green isn't as conflicted, seemingly more aware of where the star forward's loyalties lie.

As a guest in ESPN's Get Up!, Green said Leonard's situation is still “it’s up in the air right now,” but he believes Kawhi’s heart is still in San Antonio.

“It’s up in the air right now,” Green said of his teammate. “But I think he wants to be in San Antonio. He’s let me know that.”

“He’s let me know verbally he wanted to be there.”

The differences between Leonard and the franchise are to this day relatively unknown, with only speculations between media outlets being the only source of insight in an otherwise turbulent situation.

Danny Green has been the only Spurs starter that has remained completely confident in Leonard's character and his desire to remain with the team, as the other Spurs veterans have been rather dismissive of the situation, leaving it up to the organization to make those decisions.

The front office will have to debate whether it wants to offer Leonard a five-year, $219 supermax deal for his services, or look to deal him to a different team, with an imminent free agent stint taking place during the 2019 offseason.
