San Antonio Spurs star DeMar DeRozan is all about stepping it up when it matters most. The 31-year-old showcased his clutch gene yet again on Saturday as he lifted the Spurs to a 110-108 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.

With less than a minute remaining on the clock, DeRozan went one-on-one with Pels star Brandon Ingram. Unsurprisingly, it resulted in DeMar draining an ice-cold dagger all over Ingram (h/t Spurs on Twitter):

DeRozan knew exactly what he wanted to do in this possession. He patiently allowed the clock to wind down before hitting Ingram with a trademark step-back jumper. It was a crucial juncture in the ballgame, and DeRozan's clutch deuce pretty much ended the evening for New Orleans.

It wasn't just Ingram who fell victim to DeRozan's scoring feast on Saturday. Moments earlier, it was Zion Williamson who failed to prevent the Spurs star from scoring on this and-1 drive:

That looked like the exact same play from the Spurs with DeRozan taking an isolation from the left wing. Instead of pulling up for a jumper though, he took the ball to the rack and ended up baiting a foul from Zion as he drained the tough layup.

DeMar had quite a night to remember in this one, finishing with 32 points on 10-of-21 shooting and 12-of-12 from the line, to go along with seven rebounds, and eight assists, as he continues to keep his team's playoff hopes alive.
