On Monday, the San Antonio Spurs received some wonderful news when they learned that their star player, Dejounte Murray, has been named to the NBA All-Star Game and will take Draymond Green's position.
Dejounte Murray represents the Spurs' future, and there is no doubt that he deserves to be an All-Star. He is an elite-level talent who can do it all on the court for the Spurs, averaging 19.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 9.2 assists a game. He also averages over two steals per game, demonstrating that he can perform not just on the offensive side of the ball, but also on the defensive side of the ball.
Many people are delighted for the Spurs youngster, as seen by the number of individuals who expressed their delight for him on Twitter.
His agent, Rich Paul, rushed to Twitter to express his excitement at Dejounte Murray's selection to the All-Star game, where he will represent the Spurs.
“I was told at @DejounteMurray had background issues. He was passed up by several teams because of it, left in the green room! Today he’s an AllStar!!#TheyDontGetToDefineUs #AllGrindNoGimmicks.”
Draymond Green quote tweeted the tweet and had this to say,
“Stop judging people off their circumstances in which they can’t control!!”
Both of these players are household names in basketball, and receiving attention from both of them demonstrates the sort of star that this young man may become for the Spurs in the future. Dejounte Murray is on his way to becoming a superstar.
