With a number of teams having already released some of their new jersey designs for next season, the San Antonio Spurs are taking their time before unveiling their own. The team is not scheduled to reveal them until Friday, but managed to tease their fans with a throwback video in a tweet.

The 33-second clip shared on Tuesday featured Spurs greats George Gervin, Mike Mitchell, and James Silas, where they can be seen sporting the team’s “Fiesta Colors”, complete with short shorts and knee-high socks.

The video left many of their fans thinking that they may bring back the familiar color scheme this coming season as one of the four jersey designs they can wear throughout the year. With the league switching to Nike as their official uniform providers, there will be two other sets they can release apart from the home and away jerseys teams usually wear.

One of them is inspired by a community in their city, while the other could be from an athlete’s mindset, or even a throwback jersey made popular by any of their previous squads.

The Spurs have been known for their conservative approach when it comes to their uniforms. They have continued to don their original silver and black colors, without any major changes to its look over the past years. For now, it’s anybody’s guess how the jerseys will exactly look like, but they will end all speculations once they make the big reveal later this week.
