The latest rumor in the Kawhi Leonard drama is that he seems intent on playing in Los Angeles come 2019.

As reported by Ramona Shelburne and Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Leonard seems firm with his decision. He wants to play in LA, either with the Lakers or the Clippers (though preferably with the Lakers), and he will tell all teams interested in him of his wish.

Leonard wants a trade to Los Angeles, preferably the Lakers over the Clippers, league sources said. He has privately maintained that he no longer wants to play in San Antonio, and will eventually alert rival teams considering trades for him that his intentions are to sign in Los Angeles — preferably with the Lakers — when he can become a free agent in 2019, league sources said.

Ever since news sprouted that Leonard wants out of San Antonio, NBA teams in search of a superstar vested interest in Leonard. Yet with Leonard's firm stand, it can be implied that he won't entertain other offers from teams aside from the ones in LA.

This could be a recipe for disaster for Leonard. It should be noted that he is not in full control of his situation with the Spurs. Though he requested a trade, the last word belongs to the Spurs. If the Lakers or Clippers cannot produce an offer to the Spurs' satisfaction, Leonard might be stuck in San Antonio. So now, it looks like the ball is in the hands of the Lakers or Clippers.
