One of the big storylines this summer to watch across the NBA is exactly what is going to happen with Kawhi Leonard. Will the San Antonio Spurs and Leonard be able to work out their differences and will the Spurs decide it's time to move on and trade him?

Paul Gasol who has been with San Antonio for the last two years opened up about the situation with EpDeportes, and said he doesn't see a route to it being fixed.

“I do not know if the situation can be rectified after Kawhi's request to leave, I do not know if a multi-million dollar offer would fix it, he has not talked to him for a long time, he's a very reserved player.”

It's interesting that Gasol is coming out and saying that, especially with the way the Spurs do business they like to keep information in the inside, so this might not be what the Spurs organization wants out. Gasol and Leonard not talking is also concerning, because Gasol is one of the most respected players on the Spurs team, and if they aren't talking, is Leonard talking to anyone on the team?

San Antonio and Leonard finally had a face to face meeting last week, but what was discussed or how it went hasn't really been made public.

If the Spurs do decide to trade Leonard the expectation is that they will deal him to an Eastern Conference team, so he won't be competition for San Antonio in the playoffs unless it was in the finals.
