The San Antonio Spurs have the 18th pick in tomorrow's draft. Reports reveal that they are sending out feelers to teams who might be interested in assembling a package for their pick.

As per Jabari Young of the San Antonio News-Express, the Spurs are likely to keep the pick but a good deal might trigger them to trade it away:

When it comes to draft rumors, the offseason has been relatively quiet for the Spurs. The Kawhi Leonard drama might have silenced much of the draft rumors involving them.

According to ESPN's Mike Schmitz, this year's incoming rookie class has a lot of players that can fit Gregg Popovich's system. Speaking with Tom Orsborn of My San Antonio, Schmitz said:

“This is a fairly deep draft. Whether it's another guard or a bigger wing, there are a lot of those types of guys out there who could fit the Spurs system. Very skill-oriented players.”

He mentioned the likes of Maryland guard Kevin Huerter and former Boston College guard Jerome Robinson as possible options for the Spurs.

Schmitz added:

“I do think you can get some value there to add to Dejounte Murray, a Derrick White, some of those names.”

We should recall, however, that the Spurs have gained praise and notoriety for their scouting prowess. Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker were both late picks in the draft. Ginobili was the 57th overall selection in 1999 while Parker was 28th in 2001. And as we all know, they are revered as legends now — very much critical to the success of the entire franchise for nearly two decades.
