Xbox Game Pass's cryptic tweet has Xbox owners everywhere guessing which title could be heading to the massive subscription-based library next. The post contains a blatantly fake email from Melissa McGamePass, confirming that a new game is on the way.

Several players tried to respond with their best guesses but it merely devolved into a hot discussion pit. Microsoft made no official announcement leaving many to continue wondering about the next game. However, some players remain confident that the next game coming to the Game Pass is Square Enix's upcoming Outriders.

XBOX GAME PASS SNEAKY TEASERS

The one prevailing clue players hold onto is the fact that the Outriders story seems to lineup with the contents of the fake email in the post. Square Enix and People Can Fly revealed the game in 2019 and is focused on setting out across a destroyed world chasing after a mysterious signal.

Microsoft's teaser announcement comes just days before the special Square Enix showcase stream. Square Enix promised news for Life is Strange and Tomb Raider but the announcement also confirmed an update for Outriders. Of course, there won't be any guarantees for which new game comes to the extremely cost-effective Game Pass until Microsoft makes the official announcement. Regardless of any announcements, it will take a long while before Outriders makes its way into any bundle. The Square Enix published title officially releases on April 1, 2021, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the Stadia.

Should Square Enix find its way under the roof of Game Pass, its game will join several other hard-hitting games. Recently, Microsoft added 20 Bethesda to the Game Pass titles following the conclusion of the big ZeniMax acquisition deal. Microsoft continues to pad its Game Pass with enticing titles. Xbox clearly makes a strong showing for this generation of video games.
