The development for the much-awaited S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has resumed says the developers, which puts them on track for a December release.

As reported by Game Infinitus, GSC Game World has thankfully gotten back to its feet and have gone back to work on the highly-anticipated title.

Speaking to fans on Discord, the developers of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl confirmed that the game is back on track in its development plan. Originally set for an April 2022 release, the game was pushed back due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. GSC Game World was forced to halt production so that its staff and developers could focus on their survival during these hard times. The studio itself was forced to relocate to somewhere in the Czech Republic.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has since been set for a December 8, 2022, release, and continues to be one of the most hotly-anticipated games to be released this year. As the game will be released as a timed console exclusive for the Xbox Series X, the game will also launch as part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is a first-person shooter survival horror video game developed and published by Ukrainian game developer GSC Game World. This title will be the first time the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series will be on consoles.
