Earlier in the year, Brian Flores filed a lawsuit against multiple teams and the NFL. The Rooney Rule has been rather questionable over the years and the league hasn't done much to change the lack of diversity in leadership roles. The lawsuit is still ongoing, but the Pittsburgh Steelers' assistant coach gets honest about the situation.

According to Steelers Live, coach Flores is more interested in focusing on the game of football. He doesn't have an interest in discussing the lawsuit he filed against the league right now. It makes sense, as there isn't much he can do at the moment. His team of lawyers are handling that situation, which is allowing Brian Flores to do what he loves and coach the Steelers.

The former head coach of the Miami Dolphins should be a head coach right now. However, his lawsuit definitely played a role in preventing him from having that job title this year. He is an excellent addition to the Steelers' coaching staff, as Pittsburgh arguably has the best group of coaches in the league right now.

As for the lawsuit, it's been a while since an update hit the news cycle. Even so, lawyers are hard at work, and at this point, it's out of Brian Flores' hands. Instead, he's focused on coaching the Steelers, which is exactly what Pittsburgh fans want to hear.

It'll be a tough season, as this franchise is going through some major changes at the quarterback position. Even so, they're in a position to be competitive, especially with Mike Tomlin leading the way. Look for the Steelers to be competitive yet again, as this is one of the most successful teams in the NFL.
