The Pittsburgh Steelers went just 8-8 and missed the playoffs this past season, mainly due to the fact that they had one of the most anemic offenses in the NFL.

Of course, the Steelers' lack of offensive production was largely due to their problems under center, as Ben Roethlisberger was knocked out for the season in Week 2. That left the quarterback position to Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges, neither of which were able to deliver.

However, Pittsburgh has a talented group of young wide receivers that includes JuJu Smith-Schuster, Diontae Johnson and James Washington, and Johnson has high hopes for the receiving corps entering 2020:

“We got a big year,” said Johnson, via Allison Koehler of Steelers Wire. “Our whole receiving corps, anybody can make plays. That’s just how good our receiving group is. I feel like we got the best receiving group in the league.”

That's a pretty bold statement given how unproven the Steelers' receivers are, but you have to admire Johnson's confidence.

Johnson, who played his collegiate football at Toledo, was originally selected by Pittsburgh in the third round (66th pick overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft.

The 23-year-old was not expected to make a huge impact right off the bat, but he surprised a whole lot of people, playing in every game and hauling in 59 receptions for 680 yards and five touchdowns.

With Roethlisberger on the mend and expectations rising in Steel City, there will certainly be quite a bit of pressure on Johnson and the rest of the Steelers' receivers to perform next season.
