Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster left Sunday's Week 5 win over the Denver Broncos with a shoulder injury. Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports the Steelers are expected to put Smith-Schuster on injured reserve, and the fear is he'll miss the rest of the season.

NFL Network's Ian Rapaport says more tests will be done to confirm the severity of the injury, but this is indeed a major injury that could knock the wide receiver out for the remainder of the campaign.

This would be a tough blow for a Steelers offense that has struggled for much of the season. Pittsburgh did finally get things going against Denver on Sunday, with Ben Roethlisberger putting forth his best game of the season. Chase Claypool and Diontae Johnson both had big touchdown catches, and rookie running back Najee Harris had a strong performance on the ground.

Smith-Schuster had gotten off to a sluggish start in 2021, but he's still a valuable weapon in the passing game to have. Claypool and Johnson will man the fort out wide for Roethlisberger, so not all hope is lost, but it's still a bummer of a setback.

The Steelers are 2-3 on the season after the big win over Denver.
