If the Week 17 contest against the Cleveland Browns is Ben Roethlisberger's final home game with the Pittsburgh Steelers, JuJu Smith-Schuster is making sure he'll remember it.

On Twitter, the 25-year-old wideout penned a rather touching message for Big Ben to thank him for the massive impact he has had on his career. Smith-Schuster also called Roethlisberger “one of the best QBs in NFL history” who will always be remembered as a franchise icon.

“If tonight is the last ride at home, I have to say thank you to one of the best QBs in NFL History for welcoming me into this league, helping me grow, and being there for me in every step of my career. It’s been an honor to catch passes and take the field with you,” the Steelers WR shared.

“Thank you, 7!”

Despite the struggles the Steelers endured this 2021 and the criticisms he has faced, what Ben Roethlisberger accomplished and has done with the team will never be forgotten. After all, he is a huge part of Pittsburgh's last two Super Bowl wins–no matter how many people say that it is over a decade now.

JuJu Smith-Schuster, for his part, knows how lucky he is to have played alongside a Hall of Fame quarterback early in his career. Even though their current season is not what they expected, Roethlisberger deserves more than just a “thank you.”

Big Ben indicated last week that the game against the Browns is indeed his final performance at Heinz Field. And if Smith-Schuster and the rest of the Steelers want to make it extra memorable, they know very well what they need to do: win.
