Pittsburgh Steelers star running back Le'Veon Bell is set to enter likely the most critical season of his career as he's under the franchise tag for the second consecutive year.

With that in mind, Bell has taken steps toward further preparing himself for the 2018 campaign by setting up a workout with a specialist that centers on helping players with their footwork, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

This has been a step that Bell has taken while he's still away from the team as he is taking a similar approach to how he handled things last offseason when he was unable to ink a long-term deal with the Steelers. There is a clear message sent with him deciding to handle the situation in the same manner, but there is no decline in his work ethic as he stays away from the team.

Bell has established himself as arguably the best all-around running back in the league behind his impact as both a runner and a highly effective receiving option out of the backfield. He's coming off yet another incredibly productive campaign in comparison to 2017 where he had 1,291 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns as well as a career-best 85 catches for 655 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. This has marked his third year with more than 1,200 rushing yards and 600 receiving yards.

Although it is a bit discouraging that he has remained away from the team, there hasn't been any shortage of dedication to his craft in finding different ways to sharpen his ability on the field help him stay playing at an elite level. This is just simply one of the examples of his doing just that.
