It's the NFL offseason but the Pittsburgh Steelers' execution is in midseason form. The Steelers took full advantage of April Fool's Day, waking many of their fans up to the news that the team had agreed to terms with wide receiver Calvin Broadus Jr, aka Snoop Dogg. Just to fully commit to the prank, Pittsburgh even included a graphic. See for yourself.

Many Steelers fans likely woke up on Saturday morning and did a double take when they saw the graphic of Calvin Broadus Jr on their favorite team's Twitter account.

But a simple click on the ‘details' tab underneath the Snoop Dogg graphic- well done, Steelers graphic team- revealed this to merely be an April Fool's joke, albeit a well-executed one.

Steelers fans of course, came with the jokes in the comments.

These jokes are just as good as Pittsburgh's Snoop Dogg prank.

There's no doubt that Snoop Dogg would take the team's receiver room to new heights. He may also have a lot to say about the NFL's recent grass vs. turf field debate that has recently been ignited.

Snoop Dogg did prove to be quite the hooper in the Hip-Hop All-Star Game back in 2018, pulling down 25 rebounds and blocking five shots.

With those kinds of hops, he could be quite the big-play receiver for the Steelers.

In all seriousness, this was how April Fool's was meant to be done.

If Pittsburgh can execute this well on the field in 2023, they should have a great chance of returning to the playoffs after narrowly missing out on the postseason this past year.
