The Pittsburgh Steelers will be in the market for a new QB for the first time since the 2004 offseason. The retirement of Ben Roethlisberger means that a franchise that has gotten used to success and winning will have to grapple with a transition period. Or will they? Star defender T.J. Watt chimed in on the Steelers' uncertain QB situation, via Steelers Wire of USA Today.

“I trust the guys upstairs to be able to bring a guy in that can win us some games,” Watt said.

T.J. Watt said that he trusts the Steelers to “bring a guy in that can win them some games.” This is certainly an interesting quote from Watt, as he is making it known that he has no interest in a rebuilding period.

The Steelers' front office should certainly be interested in finding a winning option at QB as well, given the talent on the roster on both sides of the ball. Could Watt be subtly saying that he doesn't feel that the in-house options, Dwayne Haskins and Mason Rudolph, are capable of leading Pittsburgh where the want to go?

Whether Watt is saying that or not about the Steelers' QB situation, it's certainly interesting that he should chime in with such comments when there are rumors swirling around some of the top signal-callers in the NFL.
